CLANS

MURRAY CLAN
Carmichael Clan, MacEwan Clan, Thomson Clan,
Keilor (have not found this yet), Harper Sept under Buchanan Clan

Can anyone help identify this item and the clan it comes from? It's description is below.

Actual size about 2" x 3"

This item is about 2"x 3", made of green & white wool cloth. On top of that is a piece of leather embossed with what appears to be some sort of thistle or flower, embossed slightly with possibly a faded green ink of some sort.

The following item was passed down to my mother from her grandfather, John Roy Murray. He was born in Nova Scotia, and his grandfather was born in Abelour, Banffshire, Scotland in 1792. I need help identifying what this item is exactly, and what clan it is from. I thought it to be from the Murray Clan but cannot find another Murray material that is anywhere close to this. Any help would be appreciated.

Below is the family history of my Scottish Families.
